Another almost deliberately confusing description. Ok, could be Dumble, but maybe also could be Trainwreck Circuits. I don't think this is a Matchless, but maybe one of the others is. I was thinking the NeckWringer might be the Dumble Overdrive Special, but the description almost certainly would've said something about "boutique." Vox AC-something better matches the description, but there's already several Vox's in the collection. I switched it to Marshall 18W since it's a classic amp and an obvious choice for modelling. But the description mentions "British Invasion" while Category 5 is near Dallas. One of many confusing Yonac descriptions - "boutique" led to me to the Category 5 Tsunami (based on the Marshall 18 IIRC). > Eighteen Special = Marshall 18W (1964-65) Yeah, sloppiness on my part, I had them reversed. #Vox ac30cc2 vs marshall plexi update#
Looking forward to corrections and additions, I'll update the list as they come in. The more contributions we get the better the list will be. The list is shown twice - once alphabetized by ToneStack name, and a second time broken into guitar vs bass amps and then more-or-less alphabetized by name of the real amp.Īssume errors in this list. This now includes all 46 amps in the 3.0 Motherload. Twin and Deluxe Reverbs and AC30) but I'm also trying to figure out what amps we have in ToneStack. I'll be mainly using a few good amps from Bias Amp via IAA (e.g.

I learned about Yonac ToneStack from Elantric's posts and have now become a fan. One more edit - That guitar is an Epiphone Wildkat, bone stock with unpotted P90's.First post from a long-time lurker. It makes ya kinda wanna say, "Jim who?!" That thing SMOKED and was loud as PISS! I've also had the pleasure of playing a '62 AC100 through a JCM 800 cab loaded with G12-65's. The new models use MDF cabinets, the old ones were solid birch.

#Vox ac30cc2 vs marshall plexi series#
The new AC30C2 series doesn't use a tube rec, so problem solved, but the AC30CC2 series is better IMO. I personally have never had any issues and keep an old GE GZ34 in there still. AC30's are sometimes prone to overheating due to how many tubes are jammed into such a small, enclosed space, but any heat issues can easily be remedied by replacing the rectifier tube for a solid state plug in. Also Brian May is a notorious AC30 user and his tone is tits. James Williamson used an AC30 for like 90% of Iggy Pop's Raw Power Album if that tells you anything. That's an AC30CC2, all NOS glass, and the stock Wharfedale speakers replaced with honest UK Celestion Blues. This recording sucks, it was done with my phone, but you can still hear the funk in that amp: AC30's are fucking awesome, I absolutely love mine.
